kahlo_henry_ford.jpg
1932, oil on metal, 12 1/4 x 15 1/2 in.

This painting was made while Frida was in the Henry Ford hospital, in New York, following the unexpected miscarriage of her son, thus causing her to express how she felt at this particular time in her life. Each object in the picture displays how she was feeling internally.
