Mission Statement:
The story behind the story of Women's Art of the 20th Century. Many well known, and perhaps not so well
known women, have contributed to society through their interpretation and determination to choose to display these feelings
visually through different medians of art. The time period between the early and late 20th century changed the
lives for many who lived through them. From the roaring 20's to the great depression to the attack of Pearl
Harbor and as recently as 2001 with Ground Zero. Our mission is to expose the general public to the correlation of some
of the women artists that have impacted this century through their work and our hope to preserve their work and heritage
for the generations that follow.

Curator's Statement:
The women displayed in this museum influenced many generations of artists. Mexican artist Frida Kahlo expressed
her life through her highly emotional paintings, Georgia O'Keefe created beautiful works of art that would reinvent how still-life
is captured, and several other ground breaking feminists who called attention to society and how women were seen and affected
during certain times through the century.
